We recognise that our workforce and local communities are culturally diverse, therefore we have prayer rooms at each hospital site, and a Multi-Faith Centre at our Dewsbury and District Hospital site.
Linking our three main sites together, the staff shuttle bus service runs every half hour from each hospital.
NHS Staff Libraries are located at Dewsbury and District and Pinderfields Hospitals. They provide a library and information service to all clinical and non-clinical staff in Mid Yorkshire Trust, NHS Kirklees and NHS Wakefield. Facilities include computers with access to the internet and areas for quiet study. You can find out more at Library and Information Services.
We have a range of shops and cafés across all of our sites. Staff wearing their ID badges are entitled to a 30% discount on any food or meals prepared on-site in any of our restaurants. You can also take advantage of free internet access at our MY Communications Cafés during your breaks.
Based at Dewsbury and District Hospital, our fully equipped fitness centre is available for all of our employees. Membership is just £100 a year. For more information, and to join, please ring 01924 816091.
The Club organises a wide range of social events, outings and trips that all staff are welcome to take part in. For more information, or if you would like to get involved, please contact Sue Bell on extension 7013 PONT or Jenny Wilstrop on extension 7458 PONT.

Trust volunteers provide a range of services across all of our hospital sites – as ward helpers, assisting in the patient advice and liaison service, working in the shops and cafés across some of our hospital sites and aiding patients and visitors to find their way around our hospitals.
