Macmillan Information Centre
The Macmillan Information Pod is located on the Mezzanine area, Level D at Pinderfields Hospital. The service, which has been funded by Macmillan, will offer support, advice and information for anyone affected by cancer.
It is currently staffed by an Information Manager, a Centre Coordinator and a team of volunteers, providing cancer-specific literature and practical advice for anyone affected by cancer, whether it be someone living with cancer, a carer, relative or friend. The service will help signpost to local support groups and self-management courses as well as providing a space for a listening ear.
No appointment is needed; anyone can drop in Monday to Friday between 9am and 6pm and can be reached on 01924 546072.
Macmillan drop-in sessions are held on the following days:
Thursday mornings - Cavell Unit, Dewsbury
