‘The Charitable Funds support a wide range of expenditure, all of which aim to improve the patient experience here at The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
We try wherever possible to respect the wishes of those making donations about funds going to specific areas or for a specific purpose and we also have general funds to support Trustwide services or services at specific hospitals.
Some of the items of expenditure can be small, others can be large. and Charitable Expenditure can often be split into one of 2 key areas:
In the past year we have approved funding towards improvements to Patient Care and Experience totalling £72,766.87.
This includes £3,322.51 on Entertainment Resources such as TV's, Radio's, DVD Players and Gaming Systems, £24,087.16 on Software Upgrades to enhance Patient Care during the Covid-19 Pandemic and £3,309.29 on Visualite Tiles for our Ultrasound Room at Pinderfields Hospital.
In this past year we have approved funding towards staff training and wellbeing totalling £49,627.66
This includes £1,875 on Staff Wellbeing sessions across all three sites and £15,507.40 for building enhancements to improve protected Staff Areas.
