Who can register for library membership?
All clinical and non-clinical staff in Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust; students on placement during their time in the Trust; organisations with a valid contract or service level agreement.

Your personal information
Mid Yorkshire Hospitals’ NHS Staff Library is committed to safeguarding your information in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation [GDPR] 2018 and Records Management Code of Practice for Health and Social Care 2016. The information you provide as a member of the library service will be used for the purpose of contacting you about library services and resources.
Access to your personal information
Library management system and document supply systems: You can request to see your personal information held on our library management and document supply systems by emailing the library firstname.lastname@example.org. We will share your information with the organisations that supply our library management system and our document supply system.
Deleting your personal information
The library will delete your personal information after 2 years of inactivity [just in case you return to the Trust and use the library service within this time]
NHS Athens [access management system] After registering for an NHS Athens account you can log-on to see your personal data https://my.openathens.net/my/account. You can request changes by emailing email@example.com. If you move to another organisation where you would be eligible for an NHS Athens account we will share [transfer] your information to the Athens administrator at your new organisation [you will receive an email notification when this transfer takes place].

Individual members are responsible for all items which are borrowed: lost or damaged items are chargeable at the replacement cost of the item
