Giving birth is an emotional and precious time for women and their families. The experience received during this time therefore can impact on mothers’ and their families for many years. It is therefore essential for maternity services to help make this a memorable and pleasant experience for women and their families. So in line with our Trust vision to achieve an excellent patient experience we have developed a maternity strategy which sets out how we will continue to strive from excellence each and every time in maternity services.” Trudie Davies, Chief Operating Officer

The maternity strategy lets our patients know what improvements we will be undertaking to make the experience of mothers and their families the best it can be. It also outlines how we will work with women to provide them with the care they choose and to improve services based on their views and input and working collaboratively with our partners.” David Melia, Director of Nursing and Quality
