The hunt for the next generation of local nursing talent is now on.
The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust is looking for nurses, at all stages of their careers, to play a vital role in shaping the future of local healthcare.
A Nurse Recruitment Day, open to anyone interested in becoming part of the team that provides quality care to more than half a million local people every year, will be held on Wednesday 20 May at Pinderfields Hospital.
The Trust’s Chief Nurse, Sally Napper, said: “The Nurse Recruitment Event is a great opportunity to find out what a nursing career with Mid Yorkshire can offer.
“It’s a chance for anyone considering a career with the Trust to tour our first class facilities, speak to representatives from some of our clinical specialties and find out about some of our innovative and exciting projects, such as our Forget-Me-Not dementia work and quality improvement initiatives.
“There’ll be information about our professional and personal development programme and help for those looking to return to practice.
”Not only will attendees be able to find out about our current vacancies, but individuals will be able to get practical hints and tips to help prepare their application and prepare for interview, and there’ll also be the chance to sign up to be part of our bank staff team.
“The event is open to all. Whether you are currently studying towards your nurse qualification, or you are currently working as a nurse elsewhere, or perhaps you have left the profession and you are looking to return, we would love you to join us.”
The Trust delivers hospital-based services out of three main hospital sites of Dewsbury and District, Pinderfields and Pontefract, as well as providing community therapy services and intermediate care services across the district.
The Nurse Recruitment Event will be held between 2pm and 5pm on Wednesday 20 May at Trust HQ and Education Centre, Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield.
