The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust has substantively appointed three new Directors to its Executive team.
The new appointees fill vacancies and are: Debbie Newton who joins the Trust as Director of Operations for Community Services, Mark Braden who joins the Trust as Director of Estates, Facilities and ICT, and Trudie Davies, who has been appointed to the role of Director of Operations for Hospital Services.
Debbie Newton has worked for the NHS in North Yorkshire for 20 years in a number of different roles in provider organisations covering acute hospital, community and mental health services as well as commissioning organisations. Her most recent role was as Chief Operating and Finance Officer for Hambleton, Richmondshire and Whitby CCG.
Debbie said “ I am passionate about ensuring that people receive the care they need as close to home as possible and my ambition in my new role is to work with colleagues across the health and social care economy to deliver a seamless and integrated service for our communities.”
Mark Braden is an experienced and passionate estate management professional with 20 years NHS experience, delivering service and efficiency improvements in Sheffield, Nottingham and most recently at the North Midlands NHS Trust. Mark said “I’m really excited to be working with such a dedicated team of professionals who put the patient at the centre of everything we do. I will continue to build on the excellent work of the previous Director of Estates and further enhance the estate, facilities and its staff to ensure Mid Yorkshire is the hospital of choice.”
Trudie Davies joins The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust from Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust where she led the unplanned care agenda. Trudie originally trained as a Nurse in North Devon in 1992 and then took up a variety of nursing posts, progressing in seniority in Leicester and Leeds. She later moved into service improvement and pathway redesign in 2002 before becoming an Operational Manager. Trudie then worked in Trauma and Orthopaedics, in both elective and trauma services, before moving into Medicine and Accident and Emergency (A&E).
