Trust employees clock up over 2000 years’ service

Trust employees clock up over 2000 years’ service The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust has congratulated and thanked staff who between them, have given over 2000 years’ fantastic service.

In a recent celebration Chairman Jules Preston paid tribute to those who had achieved 25 and 40 years’ service in the NHS.

Alison Ibbotson, Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner, a 40 year award recipient also shared a few words with colleagues about her time at the Trust and the care received by members of her family from colleagues at Mid Yorkshire. During her moving talk her passion for nursing and the NHS shone through.

The awards were presented by Chief Executive Martin Barkley, who added how great it is that the Trust recognises the dedicated service, helping and supporting directly or indirectly the public and patients we are here to serve.

Awards were presented to 38 staff across a range of disciplines and sites within the Trust and the informal event gave everyone the opportunity to meet with Martin and other executive team members, as well as share their stories and experiences amongst each other.

A further 39 employees were eligible for an award but were unable to attend the event and will be arranging to collect their awards shortly.
