Trust welcomes six new, international nurses to the team this week

Kyla Babista, Neil Dabu, April Castillo, Rona Joy, Jasmine Thomas and Igeretch Aguilar have successfully completed their Nursing and Midwifery Council Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) which means they are now registered to work in the UK and can move to their substantive roles as registered nurses.

David Melia, Director of Nursing and Quality, at The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust said:

“Congratulations to our new colleagues on passing their OSCE exams. Over the last eight weeks they have studied hard to ensure they can competently apply their professional nursing skills and knowledge in the UK and it has paid off.

“I’m delighted you have chosen to make West Yorkshire your home and I hope you have a wonderful, interesting career at MYHT where you will continue to be supported and valued.

I am very pleased Neil, April, Jasmine, Igeretch, Rona, and Kyla have chosen to come and work for our Trust, their skills and experience will be a valuable contribution to the teams.”
