OpenAthens is a national system which administers unique usernames and passwords for the NHS and academic institutions throughout the UK. They can be used to access a wide range of resources from anywhere in the world.

How to obtain an OpenAthens account
You will need to apply online for your OpenAthens username and password.

Changing your OpenAthens password,
Once registered, if you wish to view or make changes to your account please go to MyAthens, log in with your username and password then click 'My Account'
