What's so special about Yorkshire
As the name suggests, The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, is settled in the heart of Yorkshire, which has beautiful countryside and has been given the name “God’s own county.” This means that there is plenty on offer to suit those who love the great outdoors; from the North Yorkshire Moors to the Yorkshire Dales and the stunning Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
But if that’s not for you then there are lots of fascinating towns, cities and cultural delights to explore. From mediaeval York to cosmopolitan Leeds you can brush up on your history whilst indulging in some retail therapy, or visit the Hepworth - the largest art gallery outside of London.
The motorway network in Yorkshire provides easy routes to other parts of the UK and the train gets you to central London in less than two hours.
There are also excellent state and independent schools close to the hospitals. You can find out more information about the schools in the area on www.schoolsnet.com.
