We have a bold vision for our sustainability work. We want to be at the forefront of the agenda and to be a pioneering force for good in terms of decarbonising the NHS system, whilst also delivering broader sustainability benefits within our locality and beyond.
We see an emphasis on ‘place’ as being the cornerstone of our future success and we will work collaboratively with others to achieve our shared collective goals.

In October 2020, the NHS became the world’s first health service to commit to reaching carbon net zero, in response to the profound and growing threat to health posed by climate change.
