About our service
Part of the pathology department, this department provides tests for:
- Outpatients, whom are usually referred by their GP/Medical Staff and can visit the department within the opening hours
- Inpatients whom will be staying overnight in anyone of our hospitals.
Opening times
You can find the phlebotomy opening hours for each hospital below. Please note, at busy times the tickets may be removed early in order to see the patients already waiting, before the department closes at 4:30pm.
Dewsbury District Hospital: 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Pinderfields Hospital: 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Pontefract Hospital: 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
You can also visit Wakefield Community Diagnostic Centre between 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.
