Supporting the Armed Forces community into employment

We are proud to be a forces-friendly employer, supporting the Armed Forces community both as an employer and a health and social care provider.

We value the diverse experiences that all members of the Armed Forces community bring, whether they are service leavers, ex-military personnel, reservists, or family members.

What support do we provide?

  • Guaranteed interviews for service leavers, ex-military personnel, and reservists who meet the essential criteria for a role.
  • Career opportunities and support for our staff who are part of the Armed Forces community.
  • A dedicated Armed Forces Staff Network that meets regularly.
  • An Armed Forces Staff policy which sets out the support we provide, including paid time off for Reservists and Cadet Instructors to attend training.

The Career Transition Partnership (CTP)

The CTP provides a range of support specifically designed to help service leavers with their resettlement. This includes a range of expert personal advice and guidance, training courses, digital tools, resettlement events and access to relevant job vacancies.

Army Reservists

The Trust maintains a close relationship with reservists in the area, including 212 Hospital Squadron in Leeds. Some of our staff are based there, and we also participate in training at the squadron. Additionally, members of the 212 Hospital Squadron provide valuable support during events such as Reservists Day and Armistice Day.

Our website also features information on how we support the Armed Forces community with their health care needs.
