About Dewsbury and District Hospital
Dewsbury Hospital focuses on planned surgery and outpatient care. It has a midwife-led birth unit, providing a safe and supportive place for families, as well as services for patients needing rehabilitation after a stroke or with neurological conditions. The hospital also has a dedicated children’s assessment service, helping to reduce the time children spend in hospital by providing quick and focused care.
Over the coming years, more than £30 million will be invested in modernising Dewsbury Hospital, with new facilities already in place such as the children’s assessment unit and upgraded surgical wards.
