Pharmacy and additional scientific

We have a large Pharmacy Team working across our hospitals and within the community who advise, dispense, and review prescriptions, making a real impact on patient care every day.

Within the NHS and across Mid Yorks there are also several roles within the ‘additional professional and scientific’ staff group.

This team includes a range of important healthcare professionals who bring specialist skills to patient care, such as:

• Psychologists – support mental health and wellbeing
• Dental professionals – focus on oral health and treatments
• Physician associates – work alongside doctors to help diagnose and treat patients
• Optometrists – experts in eye care and vision
• Social care workers – assist with patients’ social and practical needs
