About Dewsbury and District Hospital

Dewsbury and District Hospital

Our Dewsbury site is where we carry out more of our planned surgery. The hospital has a busy outpatient clinic and a midwife-led birth unit. It is where rehabilitation for people with neurological conditions or who have suffered a stroke, takes place and we have a dedicated children’s assessment service to reduce the time children spend in hospital.

There are plans to invest more than £30m in the renovation and upgrade of systems and facilities over the next 13 years, which has already provided the new children’s assessment unit and upgraded surgical wards.
