Chris Kamara helps spread festive magic across Pinderfields Hospital
Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust was thrilled to welcome back football favourite and Trust ambassador Chris Kamara, who once again brought festive joy to children, families and staff at Pinderfields Hospital.
Chris spent time chatting with staff and visitors before teaming up with Santa to deliver gifts to children’s wards and Abacus nursery, courtesy of hospital radio presenter Charlie Keith and his fundraising efforts.
Trust Chair Keith Ramsay said: “We’re incredibly fortunate to have Chris’ ongoing support. His energy, warmth and connection to our community mean so much, and it was wonderful to see the excitement and smiles his visit created.”
Matt Timms, Head of Children’s and Radiology Nursing, added: “For families facing a hospital stay over Christmas, moments like these bring real comfort and joy. We’re so grateful to Chris, Santa and everyone involved for making today memorable for our young people.”
Reflecting on his return to Pinderfields, Chris said: “Visiting the children’s wards at Christmas has become a special tradition for me. It’s a privilege to share a little happiness at this time of year, and I want to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and a happy and healthy new year.”
