Closure of pedestrian access from visitor car park to A&E at Pinderfields

Please be aware that the pedestrian access route which links the main visitor car park to Accident and Emergency (A&E) entrance at Pinderfields Hospital is to temporarily close. This will be effective from Tuesday 24 March to Wednesday 1 July 2026.

Whilst the walkway is inaccessible to pedestrians, access to A&E from the main visitor car park will be via an alternative route through the hospital main entrance (shown as area 2 on the map). Wayfinding signage will be in place to direct patients and visitors.

For car parking, please continue to park in the main visitor car park. If you need to drop off a patient urgently, please follow the existing signs to the A&E drop off area. This vehicle route is unaffected.

The map below shows the location of the closed pedestrian walkway in relation to the A&E entrance (area 1 on the map), together with vehicle access for urgent patient drop offs.
