Mid Yorkshire Expert Practitioners shortlisted for University of Bradford Career Impact Award
Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust has been shortlisted for a prestigious University of Bradford Career Impact Award in the category of 'Placement Provider with Outstanding Innovation', recognising the exceptional support provided to students within the Histopathology team.
The Trust was nominated by University of Bradford student Aaishah Loonat, who praised the exemplary supervision and guidance provided by Emily Potter and Aneliese Bennett, Expert Practitioners in the Trust's Histopathology team.
The category received strong interest, and five organisations have been shortlisted for the award. Winners will be announced at the University of Bradford’s Career Impact Awards ceremony on Wednesday 10 December, where nominees and shortlisted organisations will come together to celebrate excellence in student development, mentorship and employer–university collaboration.
Aneliese said: “Emily and I are delighted to be shortlisted for this award. Supporting and developing the next generation of healthcare professionals is central to our work, and we are incredibly proud of the hands-on learning environment our Histopathology team provides. We look forward to attending the ceremony and celebrating the achievements of all nominees.”
Reflecting on her experience at the Trust, Aaishah added: "Emily, Aneliese and the wider Histopathology team were committed to creating an engaging, supportive placement environment that enabled me to grow both professionally and personally. Their supervision was truly exceptional and I wanted to nominate them for this award in recognition of that."
