Train to be a nurse - in your local community

Did you know we have partnered with the University of Bradford to offer a BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing right here in your local area. This pre-registration degree programme allows you to train as a nurse without relocating, making it easier than ever to pursue your career in healthcare.

Study at Dewsbury and District Hospital

Your course will be delivered at the School of Nursing, located at Dewsbury and District Hospital. Alongside this, you will complete your practical training across the three hospital sites as well as various community healthcare settings within the Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust.

As your confidence grows, you’ll deepen your understanding of patient care through a blend of classroom learning and clinical placements, which make up 50% of the course. These placements bring theory to life and help shape your future in adult nursing.
