Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust appoints new Chair
Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of Keith Nurcombe as its new Chair.
With over 30 years’ experience working across the hospital and healthcare sectors both in the UK and internationally, Keith has held a number of senior leadership and board level positions throughout his career.
As Chair, Keith will work closely with Chief Executive Brent Kilmurray, the Trust Board, staff and partners across Wakefield and Kirklees to provide strategic leadership and support the Trust in delivering its priorities and ambitions.
Speaking on his appointment, Keith said: “I am delighted to be joining Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust as Chair. I’m looking forward to meeting colleagues, patients, partners, and members of our local community, as well as working with the Board to support the Trust’s ambitions and to build on the fantastic work already taking place.”
Brent Kilmurray, Chief Executive of Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Keith to Mid Yorkshire. His experience and leadership will be a real asset to the Trust, and I look forward to working closely with him as we continue to deliver our priorities for patients, staff and the communities we serve.”

Keith Ramsay, current Chair of Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust, said: “It has been a privilege to serve as Chair of Mid Yorkshire and to work alongside our staff, Board colleagues, patients and partners.
“I’m delighted to be handing over the role to Keith Nurcombe. I’m confident he will bring a fresh perspective and valuable expertise to the Trust.”
Keith Nurcombe will take up the role of Chair at Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust from 1 January 2027.
