Please be aware that due to the essential replacement of the CT scanner at Pontefract Hospital, we are unable to offer any outpatient CT appointments at Pontefract from 13 February 2020 until the end of April 2020.
During this time we will only be able to offer appointments at Pinderfields or Dewsbury. Please note that we are extending our opening hours at Dewsbury to ensure waiting times for patients do not increase. There is also a free shuttle bus service which is available for patients to use and runs between the three hospital sites Monday to Sunday. Please visit the patient shuttle bus page on our website for more information. We do, however, appreciate there will be a period of disruption for patients during this time.
We are very sorry for any inconvenience this will cause but please be assured that the replacement of this vital equipment will improve the overall CT service we provide. It is essential that we replace equipment that is at the end of its working life and the replacement of this scanner will mean a better service for our patients in the long-term as the scanner will be more reliable and modern. It will enable us to perform scans at Pontefract that we are currently unable to undertake and represents a positive and exciting investment into our service for Pontefract patients.
