  • Ensure the right support is ready for both your induction and placement
  • Avoid delays to your start

Students can also share their Learner Passport and This is Me information with their placements areas before starting. You can read more about these below.

West Yorkshire ICB – Learner Passport

The West Yorkshire ICB has launched the Learner Passport – a learner-owned document shaped by feedback from students, educators, and universities. Its purpose is to give learners a consistent and safe way to share key information about themselves, helping placement teams to provide supportive environments where learners can thrive. You can find out more about it and how to get one on the ICB's website.

University of Huddersfield – This is Me

The University of Huddersfield is also implementing the "This is Me" approach to support disclosure of learners’ educational and health needs while on placement. "This is Me" is embedded into PebblePad, enabling learners, tutors, and practice educators to update information in a secure, centralised way. This avoids reliance on email or paper copies and aligns with HCPC/NMC standards around disclosure and reasonable adjustments. The process is linked with Occupational Health and Disability Support services to ensure appropriate support is in place.
